The Metabo HPT CR18DBL / 18 V brushless reciprocating saw (CR18DBLP4) features a brushless motor and constant speed control to deliver remarkable performance and tool life. With an impressive stroke length of 1-17/64-In and up to 2,500 SPM, this lightweight tool takes cutting speed to the next level. In addition, it has convenient features such as slim front body, lever-type tool-less blade changing system, lever-type tool-less shoe adjustment system, three speed modes with auto mode, big hook, and Bright LED light. Powerful, Versatile, Reliable
This was my first saw of any kind that I ever purchased, and I mainly picked it because it was compatible with my battery for the 18v Metabo HPT screwdriver I already had and love. After finally using the saw I only further fell in love with Metabo HPT tools. This saw was fairly lightweight, very powerful, and had a surprisingly long battery life. The design of the tool body makes it really easy to hold and maintain a good grip. The blade changing mechanism is super simple and easy. I used this tool primarily to break down old pallets to make raised garden boxes but will absolutely be using it during my upcoming remodeling projects in my house!

Good power and durability
I bought this Saw when I was framing and used it here and there. Now that I do interior and exterior trim work I use it almost daily and it performes awesome I use milwaukee blades and I get nice clean cuts leaving nice surfaces to work off of

Great power tool! Cut through 2x4s, 4x4s and nails with no problem. She gets hungry for juice so have some big batteries.

Best cordless recip saw on the market
I purchased this 3 years ago. We remodel homes. We have three other reciprocating saws, two corded and one other cordless. This saw is the absolute best. I like the blade switch system because is it strong and quick to switch out a blade.

This is a powerful, well-made saw.
There is no doubt that this Metabo 18V reciprocating saw is pro grade. This saw is my new best friend. The saw is not lightweight; however, I understand that power requires a heavier motor and frame. The saw beats any recip. saw I have owned to date. The build, features, and power are clearly on par with the corded competition. This and other Metabo tools have great ergonomics for my needs and the hand grip and switch position have been designed well. Saw vibration is reduced in comparison with my other recip. saws, and this does make a difference over the length of a workday. The Metabo saw tears into demo work with no effort and battery life is excellent. I am currently using the lighter 2AH batteries and they last a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend the 4AH batteries for long duration work. The orbiting feature on the blade is easy to change and makes a nice feature for cutting varying materials. I like the twist lock feature for blade replacement, it is easy and a positive lock. This saw effortlessly cuts through hardwood, softwood, metals, and nails. Simply choose the correct blade for the job. I highly recommend this saw. I hope this helps others in their tool purchase decisions.
