For the price better than most!
Slide action isn't as smooth as I hoped for but then again this isn't a high dollar saw. That said it still provides smooth and accurate cuts and as a hobbyist that is all that matters. With use it may be smoother on the slide action.

Metabo sliding miter saw review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This metabo miter saw is awesome i have been using it for projects around the house. I haven't figured out the laser yet and I have yet to use the dual bevel but that was one key selling feature to me was the dual bevel. Another feature that really sold me on this miter saw is the sliding rails they are stuck in place pointing towards you letting the miter saw slide back and forth on them making it more compact. This makes it to where you can place it as close to a wall as you want without worrying about damaging your wall and miter saw when you slide it back and forth.

Not highly precise
Has nice features and the slide extends the range of boards I can cut.
My only issue is there is play when moving to the various angle settings.

Very bad accuracy of cut. Low quality saw.
Low quality saw. Bought it less than a month ago and can't wait to return it as soon as stores reopen. The accuracy of this saw is horrible. The fence is not 90'. The miter setting wobble at least by 1-2 degree even when locked. And the bevel setting lock gets loose after only two cuts. You have to constantly check that it hasn't changed from what you set it on. I have followed the calibration steps in the manual multiple time from start to finish to fix the cut precision issues. Still bad. Do not recommend this saw for finish carpentry. You will end up with a lot of bad cuts that you need to patch and sand. The trigger button often gets stock. Very dangerous. Even when you pushed the smaller auto release button on left of the handle. very disappointing.

Best saw with many features.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this saw. It has all the extra features my old one didn't. I slide very smoothly, laser and light are welcome. It goes all the way to 60 degrees on a right bevel cut, instead of just 45. Good selection of indents and a bypass feature. Tilts both ways on a bevel.

Good saw, do not rely on scale
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased saw to do trim work in home. Quickly discovered that side does not cut as scale is indicated on back of saw vertically or horizontally. Discovered this to be a problem with several of these particular saws, the saw works fine, you just have to manually set the cut angle after every 15 cuts or so.
