very impressed
i bought this to install joist hangers on a job that had 21 fasteners per bracket. After researching and noting that it would nail over 900 nails per charge i was sold. and i can testify this is true it shot over 900 2 1/2 inch nails.

Only cordless that shoots 2 1/2 as well as 1 1/2
Finally a nailer that can also do 2 1/2 inch nails! The fact that it's cordless is great, however it's heavy. But don't let that persuade you, if you have used any cordless framing nailer it's essentially the same thing. The speed more than makes up for the weight. I have been able to get it in just about all situations. The only issue I've had is 12" on center spacing. It will not do double shear angles on 12" on center but this is a minor inconvenience. Trex allows 16" on center so unless your doing any cheaper composites then it shouldn't be an issue. Overall very pleased with the nailer.

Disapointed
I bought this mid summer with hopes of speeding up a large project. Was not the case. Will not fully drive 1 1/2" nails into spruce without a hanger. Leaves them out at least a 1/4". When using a hanger anywhere from 1/4" proud to 1/2" proud. Can't even imagine using 2 1/2" nails. Reached out to metabo and did not get a response. Would not recommend.

Finger saver
I don’t miss that often with the hammer but it always seems to be when putting on brackets, no longer though. All my nail guns are metabo htp, definitely leading the market with the new gear. Tracksaw is definitely on the to buy list.

This positive placement metal hanger gun is awesome. It never misses sending spikes ricocheting off the plates. Fires up to 2 1/2" maybe 3in nails. The standard 1 1/4 in nails for basic deck structures fire great, saving lots of time, no air hose to drag around posts and joists. It gets heavy but using 2 hands shouldn't be a problem. You do have to have room to depress the tip fully or it will not fire, say if you can't get the gun oriented straght at the hole, so might need the occasional palm nailer for those, but all in all great tool and it will nail as fast as you can go.
