Great Light
I am a contractor, and I use this light when I am finishing basements. I can set it in the middle of the room and it will light up the entire space. I really like the directional head, so I can aim the lights in three different directions. One battery will last most of the day, and I also like that you can adjust the brightness. When I am done for the day I can just fold it up and put it on the self in my van. Great light!!

A very bright and versatile lighting solution!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As rural post-frame builders, we depend on cordless power most of the time. Lighting is a very important part of building process and we depend on it many times. In post-frame barns that we build, we need it generally the entire time. In the barndominium builds we do, we need it at least until we have electricity or the interior light installed. Even sometimes working outdoors we need lighting. This Metabo HPT cordless tripod lights is one of the answers we were looking for. The brightness of this light is awesome. 4,000 lumens will easily light up rooms, attics, the outside or in tight corners. The ability to adjust between 4 brightness settings is very helpful when we don’t need all the power of this light.
This light is easy to carry and set-up on the jobsite. The ability to use it in different configurations, from flat on the ground, all the way to its extended height is super convenient for us. The rotating head is easy to adjust and keep moving while we work in different areas. The weight is not bad, especially compared to a competitor’s tower light that we have seen. The rotating 3 different LED lights provide excellent light everywhere we need.
The IP55 rating is also one of our favorite features. When working out on farms and in rural areas, we don’t always have a lot of protection from the rain or dust. We are very impressed with this tripod light from Metabo HPT and plan on using it for a long time!

Solid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Frequently in my shop I have to deal with bad lighting situations while filming due to the age of my fluorescent light fixtures. Half of them don't work anymore so when I picked this thing up, I knew the days of bad looking footage were finally over. This thing has more than enough power to fully light a scene in one of my videos. I use it for other more traditional work light things as well. I use it as a backlight for sanding so I can keep ridges and other sanding imperfections down to a minimum. I've also used it as a standalone outdoor work light for when things go past dark. It's got plenty of power for that. Also, we recently had the power go out due to some tornado and wind damage. My entire shop relied on this light for emergency lighting so I could see what I was doing. My other lights were tied up being used in the house so it was nice to be able to light up the interiors of two seperate buildings with very few lights.
The build quality is stellar on this unit. Nothing feels cheap or flimsy. Everything feels nice and solid, and yet they've managed to keep the weight reasonable. It's definitely a bit heavy but it wouldn't be too difficult to lug it up some stairs if you were working in a multistory building. It's got some places where you can attach a shoulder strap as well.
I'm sure metabo didn't intend for it, but the cradle where the light head sits during storage is also big enough to hold some things while you work. Bottle of water, phone, keys, etc.
Battery life is quite reasonable for a 4000 lumen light. If you have a pair of multivolt batteries and a charger you can easily keep it running all day. Or, if you have power, you can use the included wall adapter and run it as long as you need to. I have noticed the wall adapter gets a bit warm, but I don't think it will be an issue. Even if the wall adapter dies, it's a pretty common voltage so it would not be hard to find a replacement.
All in all, a solid investment. One you won't want to be without.

It’s BRIGHT!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For night and weekend warriors, this light is a game changer. The ability to run off a power cord or battery makes it incredibly versatile, and the tripod storage is very compact.
Pros:
- incredibly bright. This lit up my 2 car garage with no other lights on no problem. The 3 lights are able to be positioned in several configurations. Multiple brightness settings are great.
- battery and cord compatible. Light up areas that have no electricity with no problem.
- storage is quick and compact. The tripod breaks down with the push of a button and can be stored standing up or lying down. There are holes that look like a carry strap can be attached.
Cons (only minor):
- would be nice if the carry strap was included. No big deal though
- the locking mechanism for the tripod extension is a little flimsy. You can easily push it down while the locks are engaged. they are plenty firm enough for the intended purpose of holding the light up though.
