Great portable light source
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought that lantern because I wanted more area-wide light than a flashlight provides with its focused beam. It does a great job and has 2 modes (high/low). The hook is great for hanging it. I prefer this lantern to any of the flashlights or headlamps that I own.

Light the Night
I took this lantern camping on a Cub Scout trip recently. It replaced three oil lanterns in the breakfast prep area, and at its brightest setting, was so bright that it was difficult to take pictures of with the cameras. It is now going to be a staple of every camping trip and just an all-around great light to have in case of emergencies. It is fantastic.

The Tool I Didn't Know I Needed!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's just a flashlight, right? NOPE! It's so much more. It's a darkness shattering, forever lasting, blinding light saber of a tool! Not even joking. I am a homesteader DIY and not pay other people kind of guy. I never thought I would like a tool like this. I always saw them as an overpriced flashlight. How wrong I was. This is a lantern, so it sends light everywhere. I find myself grabbing it for everything. Working on cars in the dark? This will send light to all those places a headlamp wont. Working in the attic, use the convenient hook to latch it over a truss and light up the whole attic! I even use it for taking the trash to the end of the driveway. Its lite, stands up on its own, WHICH IS AWESOME, and it last forever! I have been amazed. It's also great for camping and night fishing. As a \DIY guy this is honestly the tool I never knew I wanted till I had it. For the price, if you have anything in the 18v/36v lineup get yourself one of these and you will be amazed how often you use it. I've only had it a short while and man I love it!

Battery sipper!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing over-performs even over what the manual says it will do. I'm getting around 8-1/2 hours on high on a 3 amp hour battery when the manual says it'll only do 7 hours. What a great little light. My main use for it is video lighting and product photography but it makes a nice soft light for any task light when I'm inspecting a finish on a piece of woodwork or keeping an eye out for defects while sanding. I've also used it to light up the interior of a trailer we're working on in tandem with the UB18DB 2000 lumen light. It's great for packing outdoors as well. It makes a nice little light for setting up a campsite late and night or in the tent. The metal rafter hook makes it convenient for hanging and because its nice and lightweight, I can put it in spots my other lights are too heavy for. The 360 degree output is also great for backsplashing against the white walls out in my shop and make for a nice soft video light in certain scenes. Flicker is minimal as well for video purposes. Not nearly as good as the UB18DB but pretty darn close. I also like the fact that you can put a belt clip on it, although I don't currently have a spare belt clip. I suspect this will be fantastic for inspecting joints and seams in drywall as well instead of having to lug around a bigger stationary light. I'm thrilled with this thing. Definitely a must have if you do what I do for a living (woodworking and remodeling), and small enough to throw in a pack and forget about it until you need it.

Lightweight and super bright 750 lumens!
So happy to be ditching my old hand me down light for this one! Used it the other night while organizing my tools in the dark and it literally lit up the entire back yard. What I love the most about this work light is it’s 360° lantern design.

Works great even in small places
I recently acquired this product to use in small areas when cutting concrete or fixing plumbing. Late last week a friend of the family had ruptured water lines at their storage facility and gave me a call to come check it out. I was able to set up the light in a corner it was bright enough to illuminate the area we were working in while cutting concrete and then fixing the plumbing lines. We had no problems using it over an hour and I cannot wait to see how long it will last when I need to put it to the test. I was very impressed by the luminosity of the light and look forward to buy more Metabo HPT Light tools
