One 2 Ah battery is enough for 100-ft or 120 outlet boxes (1/2-in drywall, 8.8 lb force, 1/8-in bit). The unique soft start feature reduces start up recoil and enhances safety. The compact design features low vibration and is easy to grip for added comfort. The built-in LED light illuminates dark work areas. This 18 V drywall cut out tool offers flexibility with a tool-less base change, two (1/8-in and 1/4-in) interchangeable collets, and an integrated belt hook.

These are extremely handy tools. It’s the type of tool that no other tool can do the job. I had a corded version but was so happy to see when Metabo HPT came out with a cordless version. I never use my cordless anymore. The battery makes it so much quicker and easier to use. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im so glad metabo hpt came out with a cut out tool! I was also pleasantly surprised with the size and weight of it. Much more compact and light compared to others. I do wish it came with other collet sizes but I solved that problem by finding some at a store. Great tool

Light and powerful
Metabo HPT reach out to me and offered me this awesome Cordless Drywall Cutout tool to test out and I absolutely beat the snot out of it and it held up. It is very well balanced, much lighter then the previous Drywall Cutout Tool I was using, fast, the built in light is great for darker areas and the hook is a great add on to clip on and off the tool belt. Overall I give it a 4.9/5

Extremely lightweight!
I’m a general contractor in southern Arizona, we self perform all our drywall work. I’ve owned a lot of drywall routers… this is my favorite! It’s extremely lightweight, feels good in the hand and hasn’t let me down yet! Highly recommend!

Cordless power! Belt clip!
I got this tool for a job that I am installing 1/2" PVC sheets for waterproof wall paneling. This tool cuts right through the PVC. It has plenty of power. I like the weight and the way it feels in my hand. It does not "jump start" when you turn it on. I love any tool that comes with a belt clip! I only used 1/8" bit so far, it comes with 1/8" & 1/4" collet. I would definitely recommend!
