Description
This Maytag exclusive electric cooktop with reversible grill and griddle lets you grill burgers and flip stacks of pancakes easily. The included griddle features rubber grips to ensure safe, slip- and scratch-free placement on the cooktop. Plus, the 10-inch/6-inch Dual-Choice element gives you the ability to cook with the pots, pans and power you need. The control knobs are made of heavy-duty, die-cast stainless steel to ensure dependable and responsive power control. The hot surface indicator lights up when your electric cooktop surface is hot to the touch, even after the heating elements have been turned off. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labour and a 10-year limited parts warranty on the glass cooktop and elements.

- Crank up the bridge element with the reversible grill and griddle for grilling burgers and flipping stacks of pancakes, throw the pan into the dishwasher for easy cleanup, rubber grips reduce slipping and scratching to ensure safe placement on the cooktop
- Hot surface indicator light: the hot surface indicator light illuminates when your electric cooktop surface is hot to the touch, even after the heating element has been turned off

Extremely happy

The only thing I would change is to have the back, right burner operate as a regular burner, but overall I’m extremely happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The install was pretty easy. Had to cut out the counter about 1/2 inch from my previous cooktop. But no biggie. It heats up fast. Feels like almost instantly. Now I’m coming from a 1982 coil cooktop. So everything is better. The pans stay even so sauces and oil stay in the center. I really love the bridge burners and the griddle/grill that came with it. Honestly that’s what sold me on it. Plus, it’s a Maytag. Made in the USA.

Great performance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The electric cooktop works wonderfully. The heat output is much higher and more variable than on the cooktop that was in the kitchen when we bought the house. The only improvement that I would recommend is that the controls on the cooktop be labelled a little larger and in brighter colors so that it would be easier to identify which knob controls which element. The back elements on a cooktop are in a dark part of the counter where even the light on the range hood is faint.

Love the solid surface cooktop...easy cleanup.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 50 years of owning coil top ranges, I am so happy to now own a solid surface cooktop! So easy to use, and clean up is a breeze. I grilled steaks on the reversible griddle, and surprised how great it came out, less hassle than having to set up a barbeque grill outdoors.

Cannot make this work for me.
Swapped out our old Maytag cooktop for this new one. Liked the idea of the griddle/grill. Learned a lot after using the range for several months. First, you have to use the best matching pot or pan for each range element. If too small for the burner, the sensors shut the heat off. If too big, it takes a long while to heat up. Second, the element heating is not reliable for anything but high setting. Using the same setting on the same burner ends up too hot sometime, too cool other times. Just can’t learn all the idiosyncrasies of this unit. Our older unit did just fine.
