Description
Get thoroughly clean fabrics with this Maytag front-load washer with its intensive program and extra power function. The Extra Power boost button can be applied to any wash program and tackles many types of stains with a two-temperature wash. This appliance has many other cycles for your convenience, including a fast cycle for small loads and a sanitation program which uses very high temperatures to eliminate 99.9% of common bacteria. These different cycles can be paired with a Fresh Hold option, which is specifically designed to keep clean clothes smelling fresh in the washer with an internal fan and intermittent tumbling that can circulate air through clothes for up to 12 hours after the wash cycle ends. Finally, the increased spin speed extracts more water and speeds up the drying process. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labour, 10 years on motor parts.

Great appliances, but could be improved.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer and dryer are nice units. They do a nice job. One thing I would like to see is a clear glass front door. The dark glass is hard to see through to see the suds. Might as well not be glass. Another thing is the start button. It should have an override button. It takes too long to restart the appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine washes clothes well. However:
1. the gray metal color inside should be white so you can see the items.
2. I highly dislike the odd '3-2-1 countdown' you have to do to begin a cycle.
3. I dislike digitized controls.
4. White, gray, silver, and black for exterior color choices may be urban chic colors but they are non-colors and are hard colors. Offering almond would be a nice calming addition.

Hopefully it lasts as long as my old one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago. Really too soon to give a review. I'll give 3 stars at this point. So far so good. If it's as good as my previous Maytag washer I'll be satisfied but I have my doubts. My Maytag Neptune lasted right at 24 years and was still washing clothes but the bearing was going out and it was so loud when spinning we had to replace it with a new washing machine. One feature I miss is "pre-soak". The new one doesn't have this option. Why was this feature done away with? It's like technology is going backwards instead of forwards.

Terrible features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought washer & dryer a few months ago. Very disappointed. Cannot hear the very low tone when cycle is even at the highest level-ridiculous ! Also difficult to keep balanced-shakes a lot. Had sears washer & dryer for 20 years and loved them

Good cleaning but hard to service the filter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my machine March 24, 2024. It cleans well and has enough options for most laundry from heavy to delicate and also bulky. There was a problem with a warning number . Then the machine would not unlock the door in order to remove the laundry. It was a clogged filter. Sounds simple but… had to lift the front of the machine to unscrew the plate which covered the filter in order to clean the filter. For a simple fix it was a major deal to get to the filter. I would think a removable cover on the front bottom of the machine would make much more sense to be able to get to and clean the filter. Thought that was a bit of an overlook. I had my last Maytag front load for 25 years repaired only once during that time. This one needed service within 3 months.
