Description
Few appliances offer comparable drying efficiency than this Maytag electric dryer. The Extra Power button boosts drying power on any cycle by extending time, heat and tumbling. Steam function effectively relaxes wrinkles and refreshes fabrics, with steam penetrating deeply into fabric fibers. This dryer is also equipped with an advanced moisture detection system with 3 built-in sensors that read incoming air temperature and outgoing air temperature while monitoring moisture levels inside the dryer. Therefore, the drying process ends when all clothes are perfectly dry, which saves time and energy while preventing potential drying burns. Finally, one of the cycles offered is the Eco sanitize cycle which eliminates 99.9% of bacteria commonly found on fabrics. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty on parts and labor, 10 years on direct drive motor and drum parts. It is highly recommended to use a 4 in. (10.2 cm) diameter rigid aluminum or galvanized steel duct with this product.

Reliability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using Maytag washers and Dryer for 50 years. So this will be our fourth set. Bought this for our new house we are building. They are so reliable we could have continued using our old set but decided new everything. We figured if you are going to do spend a little more for the best. You won't be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a few months ago and disappointed that it does not have a soak option but most importantly, it does not always wring out the close to the point where I have to wash them again. It usually wrings them enough to put them in the dryer after the 2ne washing, which I use the "quick wash" setting.

Slow to start.
I am so disappointed in how long it takes to turn it on! First to turn on the power and then to hold the start button for three seconds and let go at exactly the right time. It is SO SO slow. Wish I could have tested it before I bought it, I would not have purchased. My 14 year old dryer was quicker to start and turn on.

I do not like that the buzzer when the cycle is complete is barely audible.
It should be louder and go off intermittently for at least a minute.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this dryer. It has done a great job and has been dependable. Great features. I use Timed Dry with lighter loads as the sensors will sometimes end the cycle before clothes are dry but t easily solvable by using Timed Dry.
