What is the total length of the anchor from top to bottom
The anchor screws 21.5" into the ground and the "U" bracket that the post mounts into, extends 5.3" up the post above ground level.

How do these anchors work with frost? Is there heaving? I am building an 8 x 12 shed.
Depends where you live. Would not use anywhere in Canada or Northern US for a shed. My humble opinion.

Great purchase!
We purchased these ground anchors to secure a 4x6 wood curb around our rockbeds. They went into the ground very well and worked perfectly for this application. Worth every penny!

Limited Application
As mentioned in other reviews this product, although well made, will likely only work in certain soil types that will allow the threads to grab and bore into the ground properly. I tried to install in my area that has soil the consistency of clay and the post was unable to auger in even while pounding on it with a small sledge.

Excellent for grounding a shed base.
The anchor is very strong and can be twisted using a 2x4 in clay.
