Description
Whether you are a beginner or a smoked meat connoisseur, the Masterbuilt digital electric smoker is the smoking device you need! Simply plug the smoker in and set digital controls for the best smoked meats you have ever tasted. The patented side wood chip loader lets you experiment with flavour without having to open the door and possibly lose smoke. The 711 in² total smoking space is divided into 4 chrome-coated racks to serve friends and family in only one go. Digital panel features on/off controls, cooking temperature and time so you know exactly what's going on. This thermostat temperature control ensures even, consistent smoking and can reach up to 275°F. Air damper lets you set the right smoke level, and built-in water bowl adds moisture and flavour. Smoker body is entirely insulated so meats smoke at full heat. Finally, removable drip pan and rear grease tray catches food drippings for easy cleaning.

Electronics and moisture don't play well together
This was a Christmas gift a few years ago. I have no complaints about the smoker. It functions as intended and as expected. My beef is with the electronic controls. I keep mine outside which is probably what we all do. I have have a cover. However, it seems the moisture has loosened the sticker on the electronic panel. That seems like no big deal. It is a real struggle to adjust the time and temperature when the sticker doesn't line up exactly so. It seems for the convenience of a button, another season of snow will render my smoker nearly worthless unless there's a way to convert to analog.
TL/DR Buy analog and not digital.

Looks nice, doesn’t function as well I would like.
I’ve had this smoker for around two years. I have used it maybe 15 times, and on several occasions including today, it struggles to get higher than 225F when I’m trying to achieve 275F. It was showing 280F, I opened the door to put ribs in and then it wouldn’t get high enough. I do not know what the cause is, but it’s really inconvenient when you’re planning a time to eat and the smoker will not maintain the temperature that it’s suppose to in order to cook your food correctly. I’m looking to see what else is out there but due to this, I’m probably going to seek another brand. The smoker should not have been failing with limited use and it’s past the warranty stage.

This is my second Masterbuilt 30” digital smoker. My first one was perfect. This onehas temperature control issues, and the smokebox design is funky. I wish I had never sold my old one.

Peeling Paint and Melted Cap
Crack in modeling, heater control broke, i took those in stride, it also had very low smoke. So i bought the side smoker, now the side smoker has peeling paint and the cap melted. Masterbuilt has no stock for the Caps. Not sure its safe with the peeling paint to use the smoker.
