Description
Unique punch and die creates rectangular crimp, bending over thicknesses of channel and stud at the same time to form a strong bond. Compound handle leverage assures easy one-hand operation and allows user to hold stud and runner in place with the other hand. Lightweight and compact size for easy working overhead or in tight places. Rust resistant materials. Non-slip vinyl grips with hand stops for added comfort. Throat depth: 38mm (1-1/2"), Maximum (2) layers: 0,7mm (22 gauge).

Well built, poor function
Purchased 2 months ago after watching a YouTube video on working with metal studs. This looked ideal rather than using screws, however, as it turned out, the tool is impossible to manoeuvre around studs and even more impossible to get the crimper over the metal ledges. After much difficulty in getting one over a stud to punch, it’s even more difficult to get the crimper out. Well unit, but useless frustrating tool. Save your money and find another option!
Currently the tool is stuck on a metal stud in the rafters as I can’t remove it and will likely end up being sealed over by drywall and left to posterity!
The only reason for 2 stars is that it is well built.
