Needs shavings control
I purchased this unit based on the quality the brand name represents, I have a 30 year old planner and quite frankly this one kicks butt , amazing power & depth control. However 2 things made me return it there is no shavings control and this thing makes shavings, used it on a rainy day working in the garage and taking my parts outside to test fit, the mess represented an extensive cleanup more than an hour ! Alternative brands have a dust bag or connection for a shop vac. Also not crazy about the fence connection, again other brands have dual connection points.
