This tool is a compact, cordless Drywall Cutter designed for professionals. Powered by an 18V Li-ion LXT slide-type battery (sold separately), it features a powerful brushless motor that delivers up to 32,000 rpm and 600W maximum output for precise cutting. The tool includes soft start for smooth startups, a slide switch with lock-on function for continuous use, and an electric brake for safety. It's equipped with twin LED job lights for visibility and a shoe plate that doubles as a wrench for bit replacement. The DCO181Z supports connection to a dust extractor via an optional dust collection cover (not included) and features Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) for seamless integration with compatible dust extractors via Bluetooth (Chip 198900-7 required, sold separately). Note that it is not compatible with G-Series batteries. Makita offers a 1-year manufacturer warranty with an additional 2 years upon registration within 30 days of purchase, excluding non-genuine parts and accessories. Using non-genuine batteries or chargers with Makita tools will void the warranty.
