Jdg. Can this shower door fit an opening 41”. (42 x 36 “ Maax base)
No, this model will not fit in a 41" finished opening. The minimum finished width this model will fit is 42". If you are getting a 42" wide MAAX base, your finished walls will end up requiring the 38-41" Reveal model size instead. Not stable! Doesn't fit acrylic showers!
After a lot of research AND contact with MAAX directly to ensure that this door would work and fit on the MAAX 3 piece Camelia acrylic shower unit I ordered this door. The website literature on this door indicated at the time it would fit the shower unit. No way does this door fit an acrylic unit. The shower unit base has 2 slight curves where door sill meets the jamb. Door unit is square. Door jamb piece must sit on sill piece to hold it. Impossible without grinding a radius on upright jamb piece. Also, whole weight of door rests on narrow panel of glass which has no cross support to shower unit or no bulkhead piece. VERY wobbly. Packed up and returned. Ordered a custom made glass door instead.

Beautiful looking shower door. Large pivot doorway
This shower door was just installed today (Aug 9) and looks amazing! I can hardly wait to have a shower !!!!
