Don’t by LG!
Bought LG in 2014 and only lasted 5 years. Purchased another LG Model LMV2055ST in the later part of 2019 and it just crapped out AGAIN and this time only lasted under 5 years!! They are all garbage. You pay good money for them and they don’t last. Not going with LG again because Life is NOT good with them.

Does not heat properly
We purchased this based on the extendavent feature. As most microwaves do not vent correctly or catch steam from pots etc. The vent works quite well, however this microwave does not heat food normally, it takes about twice as long. Simple example is a bag of popcorn, standard is 1 minute 45 seconds. With this microwave, at 1:45, you would be lucky to have 25% of the kernels popped.
We have purchased a replacement, hoping this is an issue with this specific one, but we shall see.
Also, the LED lighting is a very bright (blue) white, as a pose to a warm white of most under cabinet lighting. So it probably won't match anything you have.

Plastic cracked
I bought this less than 2 years ago after moving to a new house which needed all new appliances. Researched alot and loved this model. It looks great and has every feature I want. Also bought a high end 3 tray LG dishwasher at the same time. I'm now looking for fridge stove washer and dryer all LG. Reconsidering this now since the extendable vent has a giant Crack in it. Had no idea it was plastic. There is only my husband and I so this is very lightly used and I can't find any reason for this. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. It was one if the more expensive offerings.

After only 3 1/2 years of light to modest use, iour OTR microwave died and the costs of finding the problem and fixing the appliance is too high; now for recycling and we do not wish to replace it with another LG.

Extremely noisy & inefficient exhaust fan
Wife and I purchased this LMV2055ST at end 2018. It looks good, microwave function works great except that the exhaust fan is extremely noisy and inefficient. We made sure it was correctly installed to align correctly with the exterior duct for maximum ventilation, but despite this and it's 400 CFM rating, smoke constantly fills our kitchen while the fan is in use on the Turbo (high) setting. Disappointing to us and we are considering an early replacement because of this.

Tint on door is too dark
The microwave seems good in all respects except the tint on the door is so dark I can’t really see the food even though the interior light is on. I wish I could have tried it in the store because I would not have purchased this model.

Beware! Cheap and Shoddy Materials Used
I bought this microwave 1 yr and 2 mths ago. The plastic connector on the inside of the microwave that the handle is connected to has totally disintegrated. Now they are telling me it's going to cost me almost the same amount I paid for the microwave to get it fixed! Will be purchasing a different brand. LG needs to use better materials to make the products. I am extremely disappointed with this product! I was planning on buying their refrigerator and stove but will never buy another LG appliance!
