Description
This 8 1/2" x 16" primed cold air return is made of furniture-grade MDF. Thicker than baseboards, it eliminates the need of beveling baseboard ends. This quality primed coat is easy to paint, giving you the option to match it with the wall color. Finally, the grille fits perfectly with existing mouldings, is easily installed and eliminates vibrations caused by high-efficiency ventilation systems.

WORTH IT!!

Very good quality and less noisy
I bought this item 2 months ago. Wanted to change the alternate metal grilles that I had that were painted over about 5 times and looked sloppy. In addition the metal grills have 32 slots whereas the MDF vent has only 16 slots. I figured they would be less noisy and I was right. The MDF grilles are much less noisy. They come with a base coat of paint. I didn't bother painting them. Installed as is. Very happy with product

It's exactly what we needed.
I searched high and low all over the internet for our odd size sidewall return air grille and Rona had it out of all the big hardware stores. It's looks clean finish and it is exactly what I have been looking for so we are happy with the find.
