Larson Southport mid-view tempered glass standard storm door features a reversible half screen, allowing for top or bottom screen position to fit your preferences. My door didn’t come with a closer so it slams . Is it possible to put one on it? I bought a chain stopper but can’t install it on my door

I have the 360-16 door. The sweep needs to be replaced. Your parts page shows the type that came with the door with a non-replicable rubber strip and an optional sweep that looks like the rubber strip is replaceable. Is the optional type replaceable?

I bought the Southport model and after installing it, I tried to put the screen at the top, but quickly learned that the screen can only be on the bottom. Is there a wat to put the screen on the top?

I'm looking at the 660-16 and read that the lower panel is steel. Would the sun shining on it cause excess heat? Do you make a door like this that the lower panel has insulation?

There are solid wood core doors that have a solid panel below the window opening that would have a similar operation to the 660-16.

What is the difference between 660-18 and 360-18

Thank you for the question. The difference between the two doors is the handles, the 360-18 has the lever handle on the outside and the 660-18 has a push button handle.

Horrible
Larson products are a nightmare. It is a crime that they are permitted to make and sell the monstrosities that they erroneously call doors. It would be more productive and useful to throw your money down a well, or burn it, instead of purchasing a Larson door. Cardboard, or perhaps a bedsheet, would serve a better function than the Larson storm doors. Only buy their products if you want to spend hours of your time in frustration, wondering who on earth taught their engineers math (assuming that they hired a human to design these doors, instead of a creature of lower intelligence, like a slug, or perhaps a very stupid fish). Do not buy these products if possible.

Sturdy door
Just purchased this door 8/9/21 because of the steel bottom panel. Looks very nice and I like the sturdiness of it. Unfortunately, you can't clean the outside of one of the window panels because the screen covers it at one end or the other window panel covers it.
A retractable screen with a steel panel vs those wood core would be a great feature and upgrade.
