Description
This Kwikset arch electronic deadbolt is for use on exterior doors where a keyed entry and security are needed. Featuring a satin nickel finish and an arch shape, it has a lighted keypad which stays lit for 5 seconds after inactivity. Plus, it offers a customized automatic door locking after 30 seconds. This product is easy to install with just a screwdriver. It is covered by a limited lifetime mechanical and finish warranty, as well as a limited 1-year warranty on electronic parts. Requires 4 AA batteries (sold separately).

Do not buy
Terrible product. Smart lock does not work. Paid a lot for a fancy looking key lock. Contacted vendor, no help. Do not buy!

Disappointed
Worked for a while. Batteries went out. Changed the batteries and reset everything, (what a pain) worked for about 3 days. Hasnt worked since. Reset everything multiple times. Will not work. Ive tried resetting the pc code about a dozen times, as well as all user codes. Will not work. Also, when it did work, the beeps are very loud. Had to take the batteries out after it stopped working as it just beeps constantly 24/7. The finish is also rusting. Would not recommend!

Battery life is terrible!
I installed this about 2 years ago, it works great except I have to replace the batteries about every 3 weeks. It doesn't get used much, on average twice a day.

Motor doesn't stop running.
After about a month when I open the door with a code the motor did not stop running so every time I would try to lock the door the motor would open the deadbolt and continue to run constantly. I had to take out the batteries to get the motor to stop. I am on my second lock set for this model and this one is now doing the same thing. I wish it didn't do this because otherwise it is a nice lock set. Not dependable. I can not count on Kwickset products to work. This is my 4th replacement product from Kwickset. Two of the previous model where the lock would stop working and would have to also pull out the batteries and put them back in to get it to work again. They were new batteries so can blame the batteries.

Not the best product
Purchased about 5 years ago and worked well until it started going through batteries every month. The electronic lock would malfunction without notice and not allow us to lock our main front door without changing the 4AA batteries for us to secure our home. The unit was also a nightmare to program, not user friendly at all. Recently replace the Kwikset lock with a Schlage electronic deadbolt the takes a single 9volt battery. I see that the Kwikset has pretty good reviews, just make sure to carry a lot of AA batteries. It did it’s job for 5 years, but had to be replaced with a more efficient model, that’s why I gave it a 2 star rating. Should offer a better warranty.

We are very happy with our lock. Makes life easier. It was relatively easy to install and after having it for almost 2 years still pleased. We recently needed replacement screws and the support could not have been any better, good to know they stand behind their product.
