Can the mirror door be removed to reduce the weight and make the install easier?
Apparently not easily. Also the mirror is 3M taped on the base so it can separate form the backing. On the install, the cabinet lower edge scrapes the wall while trying to find the fitting groove. Be prepared to mud and repaint the wall mounting area.

Mirror Edge Defect
I also have a peeling/rust-like defect along the lower edge of my medicine cabinet. Although it is a slight defect, it is an obvious defect that is cause for a replacement. Very disappointed coming from a Kohler product.

Pretty but poorly crafted.
Purchased this a few years ago for my bathroom. It’s beautiful,however, the mirror is coming off from the inside and it looks rusty. I would really love to replace just the door and not the whole cabinet.
