Cracked after 5 years - unacceptable
My tub cracked down the length of it significantly after just 5 years.This is unacceptable and could cause serious damage to my home not to mention that I will now need to ugly seal this and then have to rip out the tile surround to replace it.
I have no idea what to do next because it seems that I will have to gut my bathroom to replace the tub.

Cracked Tub
I bought this tub 6 years ago and had it professionally installed and it cracked a few months ago. We had it professionally repaired and it just cracked again. Very disappointed!

Stuck with a tub from
Wish I could love this tub
I was so happy to buy this tub. It had everything I could ever want. Unfortunately, when I received the tub and examined the slotted overflow valve, I was terribly disappointed when I saw how setback and narrow the opening was. In the community where I live, it was determined I could not use this tub with that drain because it does not accommodate a plumbing snake in the event there is a clog. I really wanted this tub but because I’d this design flaw, I cannot use the tub at all and now I am stuck with this tub and can’t even use it. I wish Kohler made this evident when purchasing the tub. It truly is the only tub with this type of drain, so I can’t even swap the drain out with a different type. Kohler please help. I am stuck with an expensive tub due to your poor design.

30 and 32 inch Archer are different inside
If looking at the Archer, be aware the insides of the 32 and 30 are different. Because most places do not have showrooms to compare, i brought the 30 inch thinking it was designed the same as a 32 inch archer. I loved everything about the 32 inch, the depth and the fact there was a small ledge about 3/4 the way up on both sides. It made getting out of the tub easier. I can only use a 30 inch tub in my bathroom. The tub was delivered and it does not have a ledge inside. Had I known that, I would not of ordered a tub so deep and could have saved myself a lot of money. I passed on other brands because they did not have that edge and were a lot cheeper. Maybe the 30 inch should have a different name. Big disapointment.

Highly recommend this alcove soaker
I have been specifying this tub in bath remodels for over 12 years.. it is my go-to tub
for alcove installations.. it provides a deep soak, detailed styling, and high quality finish at a moderate price point. In these twelve years, I had a tub have a blemish in the finish and it was replaced immediately.

This is shockingly bad engineering. Class action lawsuit worthy.
The tub is made of pretty flimsy plastic. To make the bottom more rigid, they added an extra layer of thick material on the underside, but it only extends up the tub walls about 3". Any pressure above that 3" mark bends the flimsy plastic along the edge of the rigid material with a huge amount of leverage. I can't imagine how much force a full tub puts on that weak edge -- an absurd amount probably. Mine just spontaneously cracked along the weak edge and flooded water everywhere. Do a quick web search and you'll find plenty of others with the exact same issue. I'm not a litigious person, but really tempted to sue. Criminally bad design.

Poor Quality
Bought this tub 3 years ago & had it professionally installed. Went to fill up the tub to take a bath to hear a big crack sound. Drained the water to see a long crack on the side of the tub.
Don't waste your money with Kohler products! Cheap, cheap, cheap!!! Go with a better company that stands behind their product. Also a company that gives you the quality you pay for!
