what is the depth needed to recess the cabinet? i.e. the rough-in depth? I only have 3.5" max.

Frame not square
The frame isnt square. I would have the mounting bracket perfectly level, but then when I set the mirror on the bracket the top of the mirror was not level. Something was off with the frame not being perfect right angles. This lead to a lot of guessing and frustration.

We bought two of these medicine cabinets for our previous house. They were great and looked like new even after 25 years. Now we're in a different house and wanted the same quality and features (this house didn't have a medicine cabinet!). Glad that you think a great product with a timeless style should still be available.

Excellent quality ! Easy to install.
Although the instructions say it is a two person job. I managed to complete it on my own. The quality was excellent. You can tell someone put a lot of time into design all the way down to the hardware to install.

Mirror Cabinet
I recently installed it within the wall of my powder room. Love the frontal and the opening side look but the hinged side look shows a gap with plastic pieces exposed not exactly how I imagined it to be.
