The plastic container that holds the liner is falling apart after 1 year of use. Does Kohler sell them separately?

The frame around my garbage can bin cracked
I am very disappointed in the quality of this garbage bin. The black plastic frame around the lid cracked, something that should not happen. I've purchased many Kholer products over the last thirty years And I have noticed that the quality of their products has declined while the prices have increased. It is unfortunate because I regarded Kholer as a leader in the industry for higher-end products.

Ten months after purchase the quiet-close lid is screaming like a banshee. Kohler sent a replacement and I received it DENTED. Called Kohler again and received recorded message to leave info. Should expect a call back in THREE DAYS.!

Trash cans shouldn't be this difficult
My Kohler can that was purchased in November 2022 stopped closing correctly. It slams shut. To their credit, Kohler sent me a new one right away. It arrived two days ago, with a big dent in it. Things happen. But here's the real irritant. I called their customer service number today (a Monday morning), and after wading through the prompts was told that someone would call me back Wednesday afternoon. So, two days before I can even talk to anyone about my problem.

Poor design. Returning & going back to Simple Human.
The look of this product is stellar...beautiful trash can. But they forgot all about the adage "FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION". Here's the answer I got when contacting Kohler with my question of how to lock the lid open for removing the liner. "There is no locking mechanism. The door would have to be held or propped up while removing the liner." Seriously?? My question is just how do I hold the lid open while I'm removing a full trash can? You gotta be kidding me. I'm returning this and going back to Simple Human who actually thinks about their designs & how they are used.

High Quality Trash Can!
Pros: Soft close lid, low fingerprint/smuding, good size for a kitchen.
Over the last decade, my wife and I had a kitchen with a built in trash/recycling cabinet, but recently moved to a home without. Since we wanted a trash can that would look nice sitting out, we went with this one and are so happy that we've bought a second to use for recycling. The soft close is very nice and the quality is excellent.
