Description
This customizable KitchenAid built-in refrigerator with customizable panel and handles (sold separately) provides a unique style for your kitchen while offering you plenty of space for storing your food! Its interior features 6 door bins, a temperature-controlled drawer, LED lighting and a refined satin finish. It has a Preserva food care system with independent cooling so temperatures stay optimized. Produce preservers extend the freshness of fruits and vegetables, while the FreshFlow air filter minimizes odours. In addition, drawers are equipped with ball-bearing slides allowing effortless in-and-out movement, even when they are fully loaded. Glass shelves feature nano-etched edges and a finely textured surface that helps contain spilled liquids, maximizing space and making cleaning a lot easier. This appliance comes with the FIT limited guarantee, ensuring that the built-in refrigerator will fit perfectly with your existing cabinet cutout of a standard comparable built-in refrigerator model. Otherwise, KitchenAid will provide up to $300 for a cabinet adjustment.

Good cooling but concerned about durability
The fridge does well at cooling. Milk and produce definitely last longer, but I am concerned about the long term reliability.
We bought the fridge in 2018 but didn't plug it in for use until the start of 2019. Already I have 4 of the 6 side LED's not working! LED's are supposed to last between 20,000 and 50,000 hours of use. With the fridge closed the majority of time and perhaps has the lights on for 30 minutes in an average day I would think that they should last at least 600 years! Sadly they have not and yet these are only covered in the first 2 years of operations. The mechanicals of the cooling system is good for 6+ years, but not the solid state electronics! If KitchenAid doesn't trust their own construction for the electronics, does that tell you something about the quality of construction. This makes for a very pricy fridge.

Great storage and beautiful inside
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this refrigerator when we remodeled our kitchen 7 years ago. Now we are building new construction, and after looking at all my options (including Sub-Zero), I am installing the same model in my new kitchen. I love the interior color, the storage, the shelves on the doors and the exterior is beautiful with panels to match my kitchen. Gourmet! I haven't had a single problem with the model I have owned for 7 years and I anticipate enjoying the new one for longer!

happy to have my new refrigerator

Love it.
Bought the KBFN402 in 2016 and, after a few door adjustments by the Kitchenaid my French door refrigerator works beautifully. I just came online to find out where one of the filters go and decided to write a well deserved review.

Love it!!!
We remodeled our entire kitchen from ceiling to floor and all our appliances are KitchenAid. We are very happy with our decision to go with KitchenAid. We did all panel ready from the fridge to the wine cooler. I have definitely recommended the brand to friends and family. We are now looking to do an outdoor kitchen with KitchenAid as well.
