Description
This French-door refrigerator from KitchenAid is as beautiful as it is useful. Black in colour, it features 20 ft³ of space and its counter-depth design gives it a built-in look. This appliance uses the ExtendFresh temperature management system and has a produce preserver which absorbs ethylene gas emitted by fruits and vegetables to slow down ripening. The refrigerator has LED lighting and a FreshChill full-width drawer with manual temperature control. It has a water dispenser and an ice maker, and features the Max Cool setting that adjusts temperature when doors are frequently opened or when room temperatures are higher.

- Max cool - when selected, automatically adjusts the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer to the lowest setting when appropriate
- LED lighting illuminates the inside of the refrigerator and freezer for better visibility, so you can easily find what you need
- Metal wine rack - provides a durable storage solution for up to four bottles of wine or 2-liter containers and can be removed for additional storage flexibility
- Metallic accents on shelf trim provide a touch of elegance and complement the high gloss interior finish of the refrigerator

not my favorite.
I wanted to love this, I really did.
The good:
-I love the look
-counter depth is great
-love that it chimes if you don't close the door all the way. huge plus in a household with kids
the bad:
-the humidity/freezing up. It gets so much condensation. I don't life in that humid of a climate (New England) but it's just pools moisture, which pools on the freezer door and then causes and ice jam. There is a button to control that, which does work, but using the humidity control causes the back of the fridge to freeze up.
-don't even come close to using the freezer. as soon as you fill the freezer, it causes the deli drawer to freeze as well. I am lucky enough to have a chest freezer in my basement so my kitchen freezer is rarely full, mostly popsicles and a few bags of fz fruit) but as soon as you put a few things in the top section, it starts to ice up the fridge.
-the deli drawer doesn't open with only 1 door opened. this may seem like a silly ned but as a toddler mom, I rarely have two hands to open the fridge and being able to lift the shelf door and access the drawer without opening it would be very helpful.
-the fingerprints. I don't know what on earth they coated this thing with but the fingerprints don't come off! I have tried everything from vinegar to windex to toxic 'stainless cleaner' to no avail. the fingerprints under the door handles are awful. I wish I had bought black

Great Refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely refrigerator except for capacity. It is really hold much less than it seemed to in the store. It works well, keeps things at appropriate temperatures and door design is well thought out. Just wish it held more.

Bad Frig
Terrible functionality. Controls in front which doesn’t allow for bottles to be on that shelf. If the shelf is adjusted down the next shelf is too low except god flat items. Shelves are not deep enough allowing space between back of shelf and frig allowing things to tip off the back. Very poor design. Only used as a 2nd frig now because of this. New one is Bosch and it is perfect!

Ice maker doesn’t work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time for a KitchenAid refrigerator…..came new with our home….ice maker didn’t work and water dripping from filter…..the technician had been here three times and still the ice maker isn’t working. I will never buy this brand.

Somewhat dissapointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very pretty refrigerator, but the drawers seem a bit flimsy for the cost. The side-by-side doors don't seem to be level at the top, and it doesn't seem to close as it should. I would have expected better quality.
