Description
Karcher's state-of-the-art K1710 SC high-pressure washer has been developed to deliver high-cleaning performance and unrivalled ease of use. This electric washer includes the TruPressure system with a universal motor that provides a maximum pressure of 1700 psi. This set includes an 11-inch surface cleaner with convenient features such as a unique on/off switch, a convenient storage bin, a half-gallon detachable detergent tank, and 3 spray nozzles. Universal quick-connect nozzles and standard M22 pipe fittings ensure easy handling and cleaning. Finally, assembly is toolless, so you can start using the washer in less than 5 minutes. If Only It Continued to Work!
I bought this unit a year ago, for indoor use where gas powered washers are not an option. It first leaked at the hose connection - which I just assumed was my hose. Then it wouldn't stop pumping when the trigger wasn't being pulled, with the motor revving off and on. Then the gun started to leak at the handle. I get wetter than the stuff I am washing. Very disappointed. Off to replace it with a different brand.

Lasted For 1-Day Then Stopped Working
Looked like a quality unit, however after one day the footswitch began to require a couple of tries to get it to work, then the whole thing stopped working completely. I thought it was just a trip switch or my outlet. I tried several outlets and resets and even let it sit for an hour before trying it again. Nothing, totally dead! A total waste of my time picking this up only to have half a job finished and needing to go and buy another. (I bought a Ryobi, something I thought would be inferior, however, it's crushing the performance of this unit). I know I'm going to get some reply from Karcher where they copy/paste how sorry they are and to contact their customer service line. However, I'll save anyone else the lost time and trip to RONA to get another brand.

Garbage, broke on a third use
Connection to the gun broke on a third use. Cheap parts, plastic. Wasted money, out of warranty. Last time buying this brand

Wand was broken out of the box, replacement broke.
I bought this pressure washer brand new and out of the box the wand/gun was leaking from the seams. I went to return it to the Rona store I purchased it from and was told that Karcher did not allow Rona to accept returns. This was incredibly frustrating as I had purchased it there less than 24 hours previously. I contact Karcher and the best they could do was to ship a replacement gun, which would normally take 4 days but due to covid it would be weeks. I had to jury rig plumbers tape wrapped around the wand to make it work barely well enough to refinish my deck, which I had specifically purchased the pressure washer to do on my vacation time.
When I received the replacement, I hooked it up, tried it once, and it appeared to work. Flash forward to today. I go to actually use it for the first time and the replacement wand is broken in the exact same way as the original! I'm going to have to find a non-karcher replacement because it's pretty clear this design is flawed. The pipe between where the hose connects to the gun and the attachments connect is made of plastic with a seam in it that appears to fail.
And I couldn't even return the unit if I wanted to. Not happy with Karcher, not happy with Rona. Absolutely garbage.

Surface cleaner broke down
The pressure washer itself works fine although the available nozzles are very limited. However, I specifically bought this product for the innovative surface cleaner. It worked well initially but after a couple of hours of use, broke down (no more pressure through). I received a replacement surface cleaner from Kärcher and that one broke down the same way also after a couple of hours of use. Even though I was offered by Kärcher a third surface cleaner as replacement, I decided to return the whole equipment and change it for another brand with more traditional nozzles as I didn't trust the quality or design of the Kärcher equipment anymore.
