Ideal Security’s Quick-Hold Storm Door Closer with Torsion Bar offers strengthened support to heavier aluminum, steel, or wood storm doors. This pneumatic storm door closer is easy to install and the ideal replacement for other storm door closers with torsion bars.
Its intuitive quick-hold functionality allows you to keep your door held open; gently push until you hear a click, and your storm door will be securely held open. With another push, your storm door will shut, and the tension bar will ensure extra and firm closing force to keep your storm door sturdy against the elements.
The Quick-Hold can either be used to replace previous storm door closers that use torsion bars or implemented as a new first-time installation. If it is being used as a replacement, ensure that you install it at the same location as the existing or previous unit. If it is a first-time installation, you can place the storm door closer at the top, middle, or bottom of your storm door.

- The Quick-Hold function allows you to simply push the door open until it clicks, and it will stay open at 55 degrees; the tension screw on the end of the door closer allows you to fine-tune the closing speed
- This storm door closer can be installed in either the bottom, middle or top of your storm door; if it is being used as a replacement, ensure that you install it at the same location as the existing
