Use the stylish Hunter ceiling fan downrod extension to enhance your ceiling fan. The fan extension works best with 9-ft ceilings for efficient airflow. The 12-in ceiling fan downrod features pre-drilled holes for efficient electrical grounding and installation.
- Works with Hunter, Casablanca and most other ceiling fans that utilize a 0.75-in diameter ceiling fan extension downrod
- Precision matched finish to coordinate with Hunter and Casablanca ceiling fans
- Deburred interior channel
- Drilled holes for proper electrical grounding
- Ensure stability by using pliers to turn setscrew until firm, do not hand-tighten setscrew
- Specific instructions on replacing your downrod can be found in your fan's original manual; general instructions are available in the documents section on this page
- Warranty: 1-year limited warranty on Hunter downrods
- For sloped ceilings greater than 34 degrees, use Hunter's Angled Ceiling Mount (Model 61706), sold separately
- For indoor use only, not to be used in damp or outdoor environments such as bathrooms and porches

Matches Garland fan
I needed a 12" downrod to match a Garland fan, but none were in stock. Customer support said this brushed nickel would closely match the nickel style of the fan, and it did - I can hardly notice the difference in appearance.

Nice fan, but?
The fan is very nice. The degree of adjustability w/the fan and light is a plus. But, why would you not allow hard wiring to this unit. Our old fan had double switches in the wall, so set up should of been easy. I have replaced 3 other fans in the house w/hunter fans. All have been great. install and wiring, no problems. But now you have to use the remote which does work, but now I have a total of 2 switches on my wall that I must dead head. Your instructions show either single wiring or double wiring. But the fan itself won't work unless you use the remote control. Nice fan but doesn't make sense for pre-existing wiring.

Sharp Looking
The fan was very easy to mount. Clear instructions, cleverly packed parts. We purchased 12" rod separately. Rods in the package are 2.5" and 4" long (too short for 10 feet ceiling. I installed myself. Everything works, quiet motor. It decorates our living room.

Advice about downrods
I gave my ceiling angle number to customer service asking if I need a downrod. They said yes. I ordered it but did not need it at all!
Makes me think they told me to get it just to make some money. Very disappointed. I paid more for shipping ( which is not refundable) than the downrod.
