Worked great—for 18 mos
Touch screen stopped responding after less than two years. Yes it’s getting power, yes can be controlled by the app—until you unplug it to reset it to see if it will woek and it 1) doesn’t work, and 2) now is reset to the app can’t find it and you are unable to reconnect because the screen doesn’t work. Now I have to go buy a new t-stat immediately b/c I have zero control over my system.

honeywell is the best from
Great wifi thermostat.
I wanted to get the best, and I did. The nest died soon after purchase so I decided to buy the biggest name in thermostats, Honeywell. I use it at my lake house to control my AC/heat from anywhere. The app is great and works very well.

Scheduling + temp range does not work
The range set does not work. If you have a range set from Heat 68 - Cool 76, and at 3am it needed to heat up to 68, this clicks the thermostat into ONLY heat mode and completely disregards the range. When it does this, it also overrides the schedule and changes to a “manual” mode. I live in AZ so while it gets to 55° at night, and I need a minimum heat set, it is already getting to 98° (apr 2024) during the day. Every single day I either: 1) remember to swap it manually to cool before leaving or 2) forget, and come home to a house that’s 90° inside.

Won't work with honeywell zoning systems
Installed 3 honeywell T5's last winter. Worked 'okay' most of the time, but when spring arrived the cool modes were not working at all (it, in fact, turned on the emergency heat sometimes). Maybe it will work fine on a conventional system, but with a heatpump and a honeywell zoning system, it's not operating properly. Tried to reconfigure a few times, finally gave up and called an HVAC specialist. Just by seeing the T5's he knew why it wasn't working great cause he had a bunch of customers with the same problems. Since I paid like a few hundred bucks, he tried to make it work but we finally installed the old programmable thermostats and everything went back to normal. Don't buy this product, it's a piece of crap.

Très bien mais...
J'ai acheté ce produit il y a quelques semaines. L'installation semblait simple mais il y a une lacune à ce niveau. Il faudrait indiquer dans les instructions de comparer le branchement au mur avec les fils sur la fournaise. Dans mon cas, ç'a généré un problème qui a fait que ma fournaise a fonctionné sans arrêt pendant deux jours et quand je suis revenu à la maison, il faisait 45 Celsius. Ça aurait pu être dangereux. Tout fonctionne bien depuis que le branchement a été corrigé avec l'aide du service chat en ligne d'honeywell qui a bien fonctionné pcq je communique très bien en anglais.

T5’s work great
I have 7 of the T5 thermostats running an oil fired boiler with rads and infloor radiant. I had to re-wire for 3 wires and glad I did. They were a little tricky to program but once I got one working the rest to a cinch. They’ve worked flawless for 4 years.

Works like a charm.
I have 4 heating zones and one AC zone. Originally (years ago) bought one for the AC (and the co-located) heat zone. Was so pleased with them I bought 3 more for the other heat zones. When I needed to replace AC system it came with its own customized thermostat so the C-wire in that zone was no longer active... added a C-wire maker and was back in business. Before I retired we used geofencing option but now just run on a schedule. The heating anticipation learns when it has to start heating to be warm when we wake up and properly adjusts start time by how cool the house has gotten overnight.
Like it so much I installed one in my daughter's new condo.
