Poor design
We bought this last week and tried to install. There are several design flaws. By the time you screw the holding pieces into your wall, the bars don't fit. That is, they haven't left enough space for the screw heads. We had to hammer the screw heads in as far as we could to try and make it fit, and in the process we broke one side. In addition, the sliding feature was incredibly stiff, and one of the locks didn't work. On the other hand, the metal is quite strong and sturdy. So, overall this amounts to a strong and sturdy barrier but it needs to be screwed and unscrewed from the window, rather than the quick release of the key and lock. Delivery was fast, and price was better here than Amazon.
