Hi jack007. Thank you for your interest. Yes, the Greenworks 80V battery you have will operate SKU: 2532002, 80V 21" Brushless Push Lawn Mower (Tool Only). Greenworks batteries are interchangeable between numerous products within the same voltage platform. Please be aware with larger amp hour batteries have more weight, be aware of the new weight distribution in the unit. We hope this helped!

Is this lawn mower self propelled?

Can I use my old Yard Works mower 40 volt batteries in the 80 V mower?
Hello Little Gus - Our 40V battery cannot be used with an 80V units and vice versa. Greenworks manufactures a range of voltage platforms from 24V - 80V, each voltage platform has its own set of interchangeable tools and battery but are not interchangeable across different voltage platforms.

A great piece of modern battery technology
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower about a month ago. It is very easy to assemble. 80V battery is as powerful as a gas mower. And 5.0 Ah makes it faster to charge. I am really satisfied with this product. The self propelled option is also very easy to turn on and off.

I bought 2 years ago works great! However I need a blade and can’t find one! Not happy about that. People who sell them don’t carry the replacement blades! Would have given it a 5.

Poor Battery 🔋
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product couple weeks ago and tried it for the first time with full charge battery but it died half way through the process. I had to wait until I had the power again since I had to charge it again to use it. Company advertised stating you can cut half an acre with single charge which isn’t true. I’m pretty sure I will be returning this product.

80v of quietness
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this approximately a month and have used it to cut the heavier spring growth. I got the self propelled 80v with a 5 ah battery on sale and I am happy with the choice for the most part. Its not as powerful as my old gas mower but its close enough. I dont think it will be as big a part of fall leaf pickup as my old gas mower which had much more lift and suction, but thats fine too. I have about 10k sq ft and I push the mower for the exercise, but nice to know self propelled is there. With me pushing for 50min I have 1 light left on the battery meter. Whether this is 30 more seconds or 15 minutes I do not know as it hasn't run out. Pretty happy with the purchase but i'm going to run the other one dry, buy a cheap carb off the internet and keep it just in case. Note: if the mower had a turbo button, i dont think the leaf stuff would be an issue, but the model i chose doesnt have that.

Beat gas hands down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and have tried out twice. Once mulching and it did a super job. The, I had a bunch of rain, and my lawn grew about 3 inches, and I used the catchers. It sliced through the thick, tall grass like butter, and it never bogged down like a gas mower does. My yard isn't very big, perhaps 1/4 acre or so, with a couple slight slopes, and I used one battery. With mulching, when I finished, I still had 2 of the 3 indicator lights on. So, I guess I used about a third of the charge. With the grass catcher, and the tick tall grass, after the rain, when I finished, I still had 1 of the 3 indicator lights on. Both times, I started with a full charge. It does a super job, a nice even clean cut. All in all, I'm glad I bought it, and it's worth the money. It's easy to use.
