Make the pole length extension easily variable.
The way this unit extends is not optimal. It's all the way or not. My other CORDED trimmers simply loosen the turn on the pole, extend it to whatever length you want, then tighten the turn. It's long when and short when you want, easy peasy. Passing on this unit because of that deficiency. Really wanted the convenience of cordless....

Much lighter than gasoline powered ones.
A month ago, I bought a 60V- 25" lawn mower that I absolutely love. Last week, I purchased 2 hedge trimmers. An 80V-2.0AH- 20" Pole Hedge Trimmer and an 80V- 2.0AH 26" Hedge Trimmer.
10 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and the gasoline powered lawn mower and hedge trimmers I have, are way too difficult to start and heavy to use.
Both these Hedge trimmers are about half the weight of gasoline ones.The lawn mower does a great job whether you're mulching or bagging. the grass.
I highly recommend Greenworks for their Battery Powered tools.The Pole Hedge Trimmer is longer than my gasoline one and it's a joy to get started in an instant and be on my way. Great that they're much quieter than gasoline tools. I'm new to Battery powered yard tools, and Greenworks makes a first class product.

80V Pole hedge pruner
I've only used the trimmer a few times.But it has plenty of cutting power and the battery life is good. It would be nice to have the option of removing the center 24'' shaft to have a shorter cutting length.

Resolving Stupidity
I used the Pole Hedge Trimmer as soon as it arrived and it rocks. I purchased the trimmer because I fell off a ladder using an electric hand held trimmer. I researched many options and found the Greenworks to be the best solution. I like the power it has. My only suggestion is to if the engineers could figure flow to reduce the battery weight. Otherwise it exceeds my expectations.

Awesome for clipping phragmites!
We bought this to use around our pond to cut back the phragmites, the invasive reeds that will otherwise fill it in, and even with their tough woody stems, it cuts them down like butter.
