Loving it
I have a couple of other Greenworks products, and wanted to stay away from gas-powered. Bought this when we bought a 1 acre lot that featured lots of saplings - some up up 4" diameter. This baby has been doing a great job - I'll to sharpen the chain, but the work it's doing is fabulous

Awesome saw, while it lasted
I bought an extensive line of 40V greenworks tools. Mower, saw, trimmer, blower, etc. The batteries have held up well and the tools all function to an acceptable standard. I really loved the chainsaw until it started to malfunction. I had only used it a hand full of times over a two year period before it started acting up and then quit. Trying to get parts and service was not impressive at all and after opening it up to see if it was something obvious, I quickly realized that these tools are not easily (or cheaply) serviceable. Given I paid about $400CAD for the saw, I could have purchased a gas one for half as much, and probably even fixed it, if it broke.
The electric tools do have some merits, but without more attention to ease of serviceability and parts availability, I cant really recommend them at this time.
