what is the difference with the 80 volt vs the 60 volt?

How much does it weigh? What’s is the chain rpm? Is it an adjustable transitional trigger? How long does it take to recharge the batteries?
Hello BDD, thank you for your questions. The weight of the unit is 9.5 lbs (4.3 kg) without the battery. The chain speed is 10.5 m/s with no load. Once the trigger has been pulled/activated, the chain will start at full speed. The battery that is included will charge in about 30-45 minutes to fully charge.

18" saw
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually bought an 18" saw but this site is so hard to use that I'm going with this one. I love the saw I use it to cut firewood. I get about a wheelbarrow and a half per charge. Battery takes about half an hour to charge.

Great Chainsaw
Better than expected. Excellent power, what I didn’t like is the battery life. Granted it’s just a 2.0 battery, and it’s a chainsaw but why include that small of a battery. Recommend getting a second battery or larger battery. Very easy to use, and almost as good as gas powered.

Amazingly quiet and powerful.
I purchased a greenworks snowblower in 2018 and was impressed with its ability to keep up with the power requirements of the job, so I bought this unit with the interchangable battery. When first purchased with the snowblower, the battery was fried and it was replaced in 3 days by the manufacturer with no questions asked so I was already impressed with customer service. This spring, we had several trees trimmed and/or removed and I asked that anything larger than 6" diameter be left for me for firewood. I had logs ranging from 6" to around 30" in diameter and was able to successfull cut up whatever was needed. The battery times out so that you can get enough cut, go put it back on the charger, clean up what you've cut, and have a full battery ready to start cutting again. After I did this clean up effort, we cut down three more trees. Between my saw and two other gas powered chainsaws, we were able to cut down and bundle into 4' sections three ash trees that were approximately 36" dbh and 40' in height in approximately 6 hours with three people. I loaned this saw out to a family member who also did a variety of clean up around their farm and was impressed enough to buy one themselves. What's more, I haven't had to mix any gas and oil the entire time! Just add some bar and chain oil every couple of recharges and you're good to go it seems. This was a surprisingly good quality product. I hope it holds up over time as that will be the next test.

Great tool
I have retired my gasoline powered chainsaws after using this unit. Lots of power and plenty of run time for clearing limbs and down trees after storms. No need to keep fresh gasoline on hand either.

I was skeptical about a battery powered chainsaw.
I was looking for a replacement for my gas saw that needed new fuel lines, filter, primer bulb, spark plug and chain. I was tired of the gas saw and decided to try this one, after about a week of research of course. This thing is awesome. It's very quiet, no hearing protection required :) I needed to cut a downed branch, 30' long and varying from 12" down to 3" diameter. When I was done cutting it into 20" rounds I still had two bars on the battery. Very happy customer here!

Best chainsaw I've ever owned.
We've had this device for four years now, so this is more of a follow-up than an initial review.
I use this chainsaw to cut up windfalls on both our home and office land, where there are some trees (many over 12" diameter).
So far, all I've had to do to keep this saw working perfectly is to clean it when I'm done, keep the chain/bar reservoir full of oil and re-sharpen the chain once/year. That's it. It keeps working reliably year after year.
I've never had a gas-powered saw do that. Even with winterizing and the proper maintenance, all of the other saws I've used failed after 1-2 seasons and required servicing of the gas motor. Every one of them.
I'll keep using it until it falls apart and then I'll get another.
