Description
The Good Earth Lighting battery-operated security light provides safety and security by illuminating dark areas around her home. The polycarbonate housing with a shatter-resistant diamond-patterned diffuser lens provides a smooth and even light distribution. With its 8.1 W and 5000K energy-saving LED light, it provides a bright daylight colour. It is easily mounted on a wall or a roof cornice and it swivels 360 degrees to direct the light where needed. The 130-degree adjustable passive infrared sensor (PIR) illuminates as motion is detected up to 30 feet away and turns off automatically after 20 seconds once motion has stopped during nighttime hours. The motion detector is not activated during daylight hours to conserve battery life and a convenient indicator lights up when batteries are low. The light is IP65-rated, water and dust proof, which means it is ideal for outdoor use. It requires 4 D cell batteries (not included). This product is covered by a 3-year limited warranty.

Don’t last in the rain
I bought them about 2 years ago. After a year, the water proof stopped. The rain water gets right inside, even within the light bulb. When the batteries get wet, of course, they burn. At the price of 4 D batteries, it is too expensive as they don’t last more than 2 weeks in the rain, and here, around Vancouver, it does rain a lot. Too bad because I really like them. They are excellent with a very bright light. I am experimenting with covering them with plastic bag. I am not sure sure how long it will last.

Good price but dont last
NOT WATER PROOF , I bought 2 of them to put on my rv. They were great at first but then stopped working.
I took it apart and found rust and water inside. I cleaned them up. Put in brand new batteries. Still wont work unless the sensor
is barely touching, can only screw the battery holder in part way just to get a flicker. It wont sense anything.
Not happy that I wasted $70 now I have to buy more.

I installed this over my steps to the street. It reliably comes on and gives good directed light.
