Description
Cool white T8 LED tubes replace 96-inch T81-inch diameter fluorescent bulbs. It is direct wire and does not require a ballast. It's slim size fits in the same fixtures as traditional 96-inch T8 fluorescent bulbs. Why make the switch to LED? These LED tubes are rated to last 50,000 hours. They provide long 16-year life based on six hours use per day, so you'll replace less often. They use less energy than a 59-Watt T8 with nearly the same light output helping you save money on energy. And they're mercury free. Use cool white T8 LED tubes in basements and garages to provide cool, neutral white light.

Good riddance to fluorescent bulbs
Bought these to replace fluorescent bulbs on fixtures where the ballast was failing. I had an electrician rewire the fixture and remove the ballast for the fluorescents when these LED bulbs were installed. Finally, no more annoying hum from the defective ballasts! A word of warning, the glass tubes on these LED bulbs are as thin and fragile as fluorescent bulbs and will break easily if not handled with extreme care. I broke one when I inadvertently tapped it against the corner of a wall. An expensive mistake since they are sold in pairs of two and I initially needed four bulbs. Very pleased with the energy efficiency and expected longevity of these bulbs.
