Great watch for the money
Been using this for cross country and it's perfect. Even being one of the cheapest Garmin watches, it still is great. I like how you can download extra apps from garmin iq.

HATE THE FUNCTIONAL TIPS
I like the 55 pace info and the stats. So many notifications to turn off. Wish they were not the default. HATE the daily functional tip that I can't turn off.
Wish the auto detect gave better stats and picked up better on activity.

Positives & Negatives
Easy to get started. Long battery life. Exercise set ups are not very intuitive. If I’m in a training plan, I can’t record runs outside the plan.

Love it but
I really like my Forerunner however,,,,, I really miss my fit bit one as even thought it was the first one to come out it would monitor my stairs climbed. I cannot even find one on the wed site. seems strange that other models have this feature but the forerunner 55 does not. Also just got the new update for my home page and I hate it before I knew just where to go to monitor the info I was looning for =, Hate the graphs.

GPS is unreliable
This watch has many features, but the only ones that interest me involve the GPS. I want to know how far I run and what my pace is, but the GPS is very unreliable. It works about half of the time. I can turn it on and it will read "wait for GPS" for my entire run. I'm running outside in open areas with plenty of internet access. Other times it works fine. I'm disappointed.

Great watch
The features are more than what the price asks. It is a great watch for just runners and it isn’t too much or too little.

just Ok
Don’t really like the button layout. Don’t really like the app’ - menus within menus, different menus for watch and app. Not very user friendly.

Went back to Fitbit
I wanted it to check my pace and ordered it for Mother’s Day. It’s so hard to use. Not at all intuitive. I’m a doctor so smart enough and I can’t figure out how to use it. It shouldn’t be this hard. I should be able to slap it on and go.
