Split fire wood easily with the help of the Garant splitting maul. Its 6 lb head is made from forged and tempered steel for increased strength and rigidity while cutting through wood logs. The 34-inch highly visible handle features a non-slip grip thermoplastic elastomer, combining comfort of use and full control. Garant's overstrike protection absorbs shocks to prevent handle breakage, increases durability.

Quality/price balance
After a small modification (grinding off thickness of the axe blade and making it less round) it did work well. Handle is light and durable enough to wistand missed shots on to steel split. It comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty giving som sort of quality guarantee.

Grant 6 lb splitting axe
Glue shattered when splitting wood, 64 years old never seen that before ,must be made of dollar store glue . The price of glue is the same price of a new axe
