MyThoughts from
Decent little heaters
I looked at it a few times and thought it was interesting looking. Then I saw the garage of a fellow I know who has his entire lower floor a garage and shop with three of these, and he highly recommended them. I installed it with a Stelpro programable thermostat, also made in Canada and very nice, and on a new 20 amp circuit. I am in BC and have not yet had a very cold winter; and compared to back east won't, but so far this has worked very well. The heat is rather instant and warms the garage quickly and then shuts off, even if the thermostat is set to 25. Yes it does have a slight rattle and I think they should have sent it out with some sort of rubber dampener; I will be looking at stuffing some cedar shims into the top of it as someone else suggested in another review. Apparently the model is now discontinued and Uniwatt/Stelpro now offers a similar one in white. Probably quite the same internally if I guess right, but for a garage this model in orange or the other colors available looks better and won't appear dirty over the years. This thing better last like 30 years for the money but I won't hold my breath.
