The double joist hanger from Simpson Strong-tie is a galvanized steel member in the shape of a stirrup used to support the end of a joist in the assembly. All hangers in this series have double shear nailing an innovation that distributes the load through 2 points on each joist nail for greater strength. This allows for fewer nails, faster installation and the use of all common nails for the same connection. Its "ZMAX" galvanisation offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications. The product is offered in a package containing 25 units.
