Description
Perfect for quick jobs, the X11 is designed for easy one-handed use when splitting small logs. Like every Fiskars X-Series(TM) hatchet or axe, the X11 combines perfected weight distribution, advanced blade geometry, an ultra-sharp edge and virtually unbreakable design to maximize your performance. This combination of features allows the blade to disperse wood more effectively, offering more one-strike splits with each swing. Since you can split wood more easily with the X11, each job requires less time, less effort and less hand strain. Lastly, the hardened forged steel blade stays sharp longer than traditional axes and the non-stick blade coating powers through wood and prevents the head from getting stuck.
- Hardened forged steel blade stays sharp longer than traditional axes
- Hooked handle keeps the axe safely and securely in hand so you can focus on swinging with maximum force
- Proprietary blade-grinding technique provides sharper edge for better contact and cleaner cuts
- Non-stick blade coating powers through wood and prevents the head from getting stuck

Great Light Axe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The X11 splitting axe is great at what it does. It holds up well to split logs that have already been split once from the original sized log. It has a great look and feel to it and is lightweight and easy to transport.

Well balanced and good construction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do a bit of camping and enjoy having a camp fire. I also have a backyard chiminea. The wood I use is mostly split, but larger sizes. This splitting ax is the perfect size for splitting the wood I have. The head on it is stout and fastened to the shaft very good. The design of the handle makes it comfortable to hold. The curved end by my grip, helps keep it from sliding out of my hands. The material used in the shaft helps in preventing vibration into my arms. When I chop the wood , I don't feel much if at all vibration. The ax is heavy enough to provide the impact needed to split the wood. But it isn't to heavy where my arms get tired. The blade is sharp and slices through the wood with ease. The back end is blunt and good for hammering in tent spikes and other uses. The head cover snaps in place and locks. So it does not come off without unlocking it. There is a hole in the locking mechanism to put a lock or something else. This would be good for child safety. The cover also has a handle for easy carry.

Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this splitting axe. I use it for kindling when the kids want a backyard fire to roast marshmallows. I love that it has a plastic cover for the blade that also has a handle. It makes it nice for storing and carrying.

Good axe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used a wooden axe. The shape is conducive for one handed strike. The butt lends to a good grip. Like that it comes with holes for wrist straps but wish it came with some strap. The axe is sharp and generates good splitting power. Compared to wooden axes there is a better fitment but experience more vibration with strikes. So far no issues with use.

Great size and quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my axe a few weeks ago. Just in time for cutting all the branches that had fallen during the winter. I was able to cut them easily with this axe. It’s not heavy and is well made. It will last for many years.

Excellent quality and durability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This splitting axe is exceptional with quality on both handle and axe head. Metal does not bruise easily and handle is lightweight allowing a proper swing. They say not to tap the back of the axe with a hammer but it doesn't hurt it if you do. Does need a tiny bit of sharpening though but can be used right off the shelf. The cover makes an excellent carrying handle and even let you put a lock on it for safety.
