Description
This First Alert® is a 120 V AC powered hardwired combination photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with battery backup and rapid connect feature for an easy installation. It features photoelectric smoke detection and electromechanical carbon monoxide detection as well as 85 dB siren at 10 feet. It gives you an end-of-life signal telling when the unit needs to be replaced and 2 silence functions, to silence low battery indicator for 8 hours or to temporarily silence a false alarm. A maximum of 18 detectors can be connected 12 of which can be smoke alarms. The technology OptiPath 360 is a patented design providing unobstructed 360° access to the smoke detector. The tamper-resistant locking pin makes it ideal for rental units. This product is backed by a 7-year limited warranty.

Easy install
Two of the similar units went bad around the same time due to age. I purchased two of these unit and am so far satisfied with the purchase. The original connector and base remained from the old units making installing these two new units a two minute job.

Easy replacement of old BRK units
I bought 3 of these last week from Ron in Rona. I installed them myself and they fit the pins on my old BRK units. I had to swap out the bases and fiddle a little with fitting the new base plates. Service at the store was excellent

SKU 1043251 = Model SC7010BA (Photoelectric)
I like this SKU 1043251, i.e. Model SC7010BA combination smoke (photoeletric) and CO alarm, which I consider an upgrade from my old SC9120A combination smoke (ionization) and CO alarm, both with hardwired interconnection, but the new SC7010BA has battery backup too!
Note that, as of this writing, first two product photos are wrongly showing "with Voice" and SC7010BV. No, this is SC7010BA (1043251) which beeps but does not talk, see https://www.firstalert.com/ca/en/products/alarms/combo-smoke-carbon-monoxide-alarms/1043251-hardwired-combination-smoke-and-co-alarm-with-battery-backup-1043251/ for more information.
For SC7010BV (or rather SC7010BVA), search for "1044370" instead.
