What do I need to purchase with this specific generator? Is there a specific extension cord I will need? I am having an electrician put in an interlock panel so would like to be prepared before he arrives. Thanks!

Does the job. Flawlessly
My second Firman. I am in a zone with frequent outage and I need a reliable generator. Even between months, the engine starts instantly, power is stable which is important for my electronics the generator us used for. I hope the quality lasts until I buy a new permanent generator.

Firman Warranty Sucks
I Bought this a year ago now and never really used it til last week. Surprisingly it started up right away after not running for quite awhile. After 30 minutes running a light string though it quit making electricity and the power display went dead. I called firman and they basically told me to pound dirt since I no longer have my receipt. I guess a picture of it in the back of my truck dated and a credit card statement isn’t proof enough I purchased it. If anyone’s interested in a noisy running $1300 paper weight let me know.

I LOVE this Generator
When my husband passed away, I had to replace his generator with one I could start myself. I can't do the pull start thing, so the electric start was really appealing to me. I have owned my Firman for over a year now and when I had a house fire I depended on this baby to supply the house with electricity for over 2 weeks while the electrician worked overtime to get the house up and running again. This Generator did not disappoint. It ran for 12-18 hours a day for 2 weeks in the winter. Which means cold starts in minus 20-30 degrees C. When it died on me, it was the same day that hydro turned on power for me. When I finally contacted Firman, they helped me diagnose the issue and sent the part right away for me to fix. It was really simple to change the solenoid. And within 10 mins, the generator was back up and running. I would totally recommend this generator to anybody that needs a good reliable generator with lots of power for your everyday needs.
