Not sufficient for my needs
This shredder only shreds about 10 pieces of paper (fed 1 or 2 at a time) before seeming to overhead. Actually, I think part of the problem is that the opening for feeding paper isn't adequate and allows the paper to feed to one side or the other - which quickly seems to jam (yellow/red light). I finally determined that I could clear the problem (carefully, safely) by disconnecting the machine and manually clearing the clog of paper in the shredder's teeth. It still has to cool in order to operate but that happens relatively quickly. I must say this is the worst shredder I've had (2 so far over the years).

Love this Product
I've owned the LX 180 Cross Shredder for 4 months, and really love the smooth operation, no jams, and generous bin. Fits well in my home office. Highly recommended.

LX180 is an amazing surprise!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review - this shredder from Fellows surpassed my expectations! And I really shouldn't be surprised, Fellowes makes some great products. The LX180 with Intellibar is a powerful shredder that's simple, easy to use, and fast. I"ve been personally using the shredder for over a month and am always pleased with its performance. I also like the slick contemporary design and easy-rolling wheels make it very convenient. I am confident that this shredder will last a long time based on it early performance.

Quiet, Modern, Sleek
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fellowes makes great shredders. This may be my favorite shredder for my home office of all time. It has a slender and attractive footprint for its bin capacity with gentle and modern lights that indicate when it is shredding. I also like the modern lines and gentle sounds it makes. For a workhorse of a machine, it is delightfully simple and safe. The peace of mind that comes with SafeSense that guards our fingers is worth it, especially for an item that can shred through credit cards and staples. My other favorite feature is the efficiency meter. This will indicate if you can add more sheets of paper to the mouth of the device! Brilliant. If you are looking for a hassle-free investment for your home office, that is efficient and functional plus easy on the eyes, this is definitely it.

Best for the price!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Fellowes LX180 is by far the best shredder we have ever used! The new features make shredding a fast, quiet & efficient process. We especially like the way the shredder senses and displays phases of the shredding process with its system of colored lights and symbols. Cool! Plus it's jam proof, shreds staples & is so quiet that you can easily have a conversation in person or on the phone. (It would be nice to have a clear panel in the shredder bin, although, it really isn't necessary with the bin-full indicator.) Bottom line, it's the perfect shredder for our home business! Great Shredder - Quiet, Powerfull, Secure
The LX180 was packed very well and easy to unbox and set up The unit itself is the ideal size for a home office in that it has a small footprint yet the hopper is large enough to hold a good amount before having to be emptied. It shreds multiple sheets with ease. I am delighted with the performance of this shredder. When the machine is in operation, there is a bright light below the paper slot that indicates the machine is operating (green) which changes to color as it is loaded, it’s a great feature to know if you’re feeding too much at once. It goes from green to yellow then red if you feed too much in at once. I did test this function and I really had to put in very thick stack to get it to go red and stop. No problem it just backed the paper out so I could half the stack and it then shredded all. It turns blue when complete and if left unused it will go to sleep with no lights on.
There is also a red indicator light when the shredder needs to be emptied. The hopper bin pulls out and closes very easily. The noise level while shredding seemed to be much lower than other shredders I’ve had.
The auto stop feature is a great safety feature particularly if toddlers are around. It doesn’t take long after fingers are moved away for it to restart again. "
I would highly recommend the LX180 to anyone considering a new shredder. I have received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Well Designed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LX180 is well designed and is easy to unpack and use. It is quieter than my other shredder which is nice when people are working side by side and someone needs to shred documents. I also like the sleek design of the machine. My only issue, if you can even call it that, is the feed direct buttons are hard to see initially because they are the same color as the shredder. Even with this cosmetic issue, the functionality of the machine is impressive and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a shedder to use in a home office. It’s a Beast!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit itself is very large. It shreds multiple sheets with ease. It is very quiet, much quieter than my old shredder. The auto stop feature is nice since I have 4 grandkids under the age of 7. It doesn’t take long after fingers are moved away for it to restart again.
