The light comes on when approaching it from either side. Shouldn't it come on when approaching it directly in fron of it?

Don't waste your money
Absolute garbage, bought two last weekend and one doesn't work at all (or is brifly flashing when I fiddle with sensor, then stays off) and for the other one the motion sensing is a joke. I have to wave my hand reeeaally close to the sensor to turn it on, so it the same as my switch on the wall in the end...
Hope I'll find my ticket to get them back to the store

I bought this two weeks ago and feel completely disappointed as it is far too dim to be useful in any small room or hallway.
