Check your existing ductwork first . . . .
Beware - your ease of installation depends entirely on your existing ductwork and the space around it. The instructions assume you have flexible ductwork that can be pulled into the housing. If your ductwork is fixed and rigid, it is an entirely different proposition. I spent most of my weekend installing this fan, the majority of time spent trying to shorten the existing duct - in a very narrow space where the ducting could only be accessed from straight on. I bought two of these fans because they were 50 percent off, and I am seriously contemplating returning the second one.
Once installed, it is very quiet.

Very quiet fan!
Hi-Salut, I installed this fan recently (august) to replace an older and loud fan that didn't vent a 100 sqft bathroom properly. The old fan had a smaller exit tube into a larger duct in the ceiling so the new fan could take advantage of the larger duct. Installation took longer since the exit duct in the ceiling was solid (not flexible) so it had to be cut and it took some time to fit the new fan.
