Considering getting either the 24 in or the 28 in self propelled snowblower. Is the 28 in blower a better option with a large sized driveway? However would a 28 in have more issues regarding removing wet heavy snow?

Not pleased w EGO snow blower
This machine will stop propelling the wheels when the snow is deep.
We go a big 30" snow and it took me about 8 hours to clear my driveway. The battery charge took about 2 hours I had to wait about 30 minutes between charging for the batteries to cool.

Had to Battle the Blower
Bought this in October but, given the strange Minnesota winter this year with virtually now snow, I used it for the first time in March 2024. Admittedly, the snow was very wet and heavy, but the unit really struggled to scrape the snow from the driveway and clogged repeatedly. I really had to fight the unit to get the driveway cleared in less than 10 inches of snow. Neighbors with gas blowers cleared the driveways relatively easily. I really wanted this to work, but now I’m not sure it will. Maybe it’s my unit, or maybe it’s me, but it was a battle.

Great blower; average 12 aH batteries
The temp outside is 23°. The snow is about 20" deep. This snowblower did an excellent job cutting through and throwing it a distance. I give it a 5 star rating.
I give the batteries a 3 star rating. After clearing most of my driveway, they were discharged. When I plugged them into the charger, it said they were too cold. Seems that keeping them warmer somehow while they are in the snowblower would be a good idea. Now I have to sit and wait a couple of hours until they're charged.

Frustrated!
Almost worthless in deep heave wet snow. Used in Colorado and discovered some strange limitations - cannot maintain front balance so snow blower tends to ride up on the snow. In heavy snow the snow seems to get stuck and the blades can’t clear the snow. This is the worst with a gas snowblower I could still power through, this one just gets stuck. Good throwing distance for sure but obvious problems with deeper wetter snow. Very frustratesdwith the performance!

Not For Gravel
It’s powerful, and throws “Sierra Cement” pretty well, my mistake was trying to use it on gravel. It just wants to dig in the dirt until the wheel clutches out. We live in a rural area and blacktop is a rare luxury. So we’ll either invest in chains, or possibly blacktop if cash allows.

Ease of operation is key.
Being an 83 year old of short stature I find that this machine is all it is advertised to be. Turning is easily accomplished with separate drive wheels and the power extracted from the two 12 amp hour batteries throws snow plenty distance for any driveway.

EGOs Electric Snow Blower is a great step forward.
EGO POWER+ 56-volt 28-in Two-stage Self-propelled Cordless Electric Snow Blower 12 Ah (Battery and Charger Included) is Great. I used it for the first-time last week, and it was easy to use. I wanted to go away from gas powered equipment and the EGO Snow Blower is a huge step forward. I expect to get an EGO Self-propelled mower next.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Souffleuse a neige silencieuse et très puissante. Elle souffle la neige par dessus et loin de l'autre côté de mes abris d'auto. Elle est agréable à opérer. Bonne autonomie. Il ne se forme pas de glace dans les racoins puisqu'elle ne dégage pas de chaleur. Facile d'entretien.
