Description
The all new EGO POWER+ 16-in chainsaw delivers the power of gas without the noise, fuss, and fumes. This saw/s advanced, high-efficiency brushless motor delivers the equivalent power of a 40 cc gas chainsaw that lasts up 130 cuts on a 4x4 (when used with the included EGO 4.0 AH 56V ARC Lithium(TM) battery). The tool-less chain tensioning system allows for fast and easy bar and chain adjustments through independent dials, which are low profile in design and allow for cutting flush to the ground. The 20m/s chain speed allows for clean, efficient cutting and the automatic oiling system keeps the saw lubricated throughout the cutting application. For added control and safety, the saw is equipped with robust metal bucking spikes and kickback break with an easy to see brake position indicator. Experience Power Beyond Belief(TM) without the noise, fuss, or fumes.

What a terrific chain saw
I have used an earlier generation electric chain saw (not an Ego) for a couple of years and found the power and charge capacity limiting. Over this past week I have worked with the Ego 16” saw and am so impressed. It has all the power of gas chain saws that I have worked with in the past. It is easy to work with, very quiet, and cuts like a dream. I worked for over an hour and did not come close to depleting the battery. I did not track the number of cuts that I made but it has to have been in excess of seventy. I would strongly recommend this saw for anyone looking for solid performance and reliability.

Cost effective and easy to use
Extremely easy to use. Cuts well and efficiently, less mess and easier to use than a gas chain saw. Have several large trees but not a lot of property and found this size and price perfect for my needs as a homeowner. While I don't have a ton to cut on a regular basis I have about 5-6 episodes of either large lim drop or storm damage that needs to be cleaned up.

Good for general property maintenance
I bought this chainsaw to replace my Husqvarna Rancher that I’ve had for many years. For general property maintenance it is easier to use and to some extent safer than the Rancher. It doesn’t have the torque for taking down larger trees but for trimming limbs, and general maintenance, it’s a good choice. Really nice to be able to pick it up and go without having to worry about two-stoke gas and getting it started. The chain guard tends to retain a lot of debris so be sure to blow it out after use. The real measure will be battery performance over time. It’s a nice addition to your outdoor tools but isn’t a 100% swap for a gas powered chain saw if you’re planning to be dropping a lot of trees or processing firewood.

Lightweight as stated
Tried cutting 14" hardwood, battery shot after 1 cut. Really for trimming and small diameter trees.
Only had 1 battery, so back another day. Gas saw was answer or a handfull of $$ batteries.
