DONT BUY - BREAKS AFTER A FEW YEARS
My cheap space heaters have lasted me for upwards of a decade but my Dyson AM09 received an H2 error code and no longer functions. Based on what ive read, Dyson won't actually help with the issue. Save yourself the trouble, get something better.

Was good while it lasted
This fan worked very well, heating and cooling our bedroom for a year, until it stopped working, and Dyson provided no ways to get it repaired.
A shortcoming with this fan is that there is no filtration for air flowing through this unit. As a result, dust and debris will accumulate over time. In our case this affected the fan's heating function, prompting an H2 error.
We attempted every troubleshooting step provided on Dyson's website to no avail, and ultimately we were unable to get this unit repaired because the problem occurred 4 months outside of the 1 year warranty period. So we were told by Dyson that our only option was to buy a new unit for full price. But I do not have confidence a new unit will even solve this problem, as debris will build up again, and it is very difficult to clean the inside of this unit.
I really wish this fan worked out as it did for our first year, but it appears these are not build for longevity, and once your warranty period ends there is no way to get it fixed.

Broke in just under 1 year. still no replacement
I bought this fan Oct 2021. It completely died Oct 2022. Although it has a great warranty and I've generally been happy with the fan, I'm extremely frustrated to be waiting 2 months for a replacement -- of course, it's winter and I specifically bought the fan for the colder areas of my home.

Dyson's Customer Support is the BEST!
I had previously commented about the sudden occurrence of the "H2" error code in my AM09 when the 'HEAT' function was selected. Since reporting this issue, Dyson's Customer Support had worked with me tirelessly and provided a resolution to my great satisfaction. Their promptness and professionalism in handling this matter cannot be underemphasized. I hereby want to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Dyson Canada team in resolving my "H2" error code issue.

Purchased one for my 80 year old Mom. she just Loves the product. uses it while watching TV. with a conventional fan she was sweating. no longer having this problem. She loves how easy it is to use. Thank you Dyson for helping with her quality of Life!

Cool wording is misleading
I have had this product for two years. The hot mode works very efficiently putting out hot air to increase the temperature in the room and therefore make it hotter. However the cool mode does not put out cool air to reduce the temperature in the room. The cool mode simply circulates hot air. If the use of the words “Hot” and “Cool” are used to describe the unit itself it implies the two modes act oppositely. One mode to put out hot air and the other to put out cool air. That is not the case at all.
