Description
The DMX 1-Step 2.0 LVT underlayment is designed specifically for use in basements and areas where moisture is a problem. It is VOC free, waterproof and it has a 4 in 1 protection: mould, sound, thermal and vapor barrier. It installs quickly and easily with no carpentry tools needed and your laminate, engineered hardwood and vinyl plank flooring (minimum 4 mm thick) can be installed directly on top of it. This product covers 100 sq. ft. of flooring and it is backed by a 25-year warranty.
- Each roll contains a vapor tape
- Comes in rolls of 100 ft² which weigh only 17 lb each rolls
- Moist air is constantly coming in through little cracks in the concrete floors and walls and the need escape routes to evaporate
- DMX 1-Step 2.0 has unique dimples create and air gap which raises the floor from the concrete slab allowing moisture to escape and evaporate, the dimples are encapsulated in a closed cell foam which is waterproof and keeps your floors warm and comfortable
- Only dimpled underlayment certified by north American laminate floor association

Can I use this over osb

DMX 1-Step 2.0 can be installed over an OSB subfloor. But, Please ensure the subfloor is level before installing DMX 1-Step 2.0 to get the best results.

Heated floors rated?
Hi there, you can install the heating membrane on DMX 1-Step 2.0 as long as the heated membrane does not get hotter than 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the maker of the heating pad allows the use of their product on our product.

I have a vinyl floor that is 4mm with an underlayment of 1mm attached, can I use this product since the total thickness would be 5mm?

Would this help with the floor over a crawl space keep the heat on the floor feel better and not so cold

DMX says that flooring has to be 5 mm thick. Rona description says 4mm. Is the DMX rcomendation the coeect one?

Not good on its own
Just had to replace LVP with this product underneath
Due to too much cushion which caused joints to crack in heavy traffic areas or underneath heavier furniture
Definitely not the ideal for any floating floor unless plywood is installed on top

I believe there are better options
This product is only OK under vinyl plank flooring. Was rolled out on concrete floor, then LVP flooring on top. The joints of the floor click in some spots, and it is still cold. I think I should have laid plywood on top or used dricore panels

Not a great product!
I have a few issues with this product as I was trying it for the first time, since using the Grey Delta-FL.
The rolls unroll the opposite direction, so you have to unroll the roll and then flip it as opposed to just unrolling it.
Then the roll has memory, so it doesn't lay flat.
I also experienced the rolls are not straight and I had difficulty lining them up properly.
Lastly, once my LVT Floor was installed, the floor had too much cushion and bounce to it, which I didn't want or like.
I am sticking with the Delta product for my next projects, I've never had any issues with it.

C’est la deuxième fois que j’achète ce produit. Prix compétitif. Ce type de sous planchers va alvéoles ma sauver des dommages d’infiltrations d’eau sous le plancher dans le sous-sol mis directement sur le béton. Encore dernièrement d’ailleurs. Ces 3 autres rouleaux seront utiliser dans 2 autres chambres du sous-sol (plancher détruit dernièrement) pour protéger de nouveaux planchers à refaire qui avait des sous couche en feutre.

Facile et rapide
J'ai installé deux types de sous-plancher et celui-ci se caractérise par le fait que la surface blanche a une texture plus caoutchouteuse que le vinyle standard. En conséquence, c'est plus silencieux. Il se découpe facilement sans être trop fragile non plus. Il faut toutefois prendre soin de s'assurer que le béton est uniforme: les bosses et les creux ont un impact réel sur la finition.
